Sourcing Manager (Kichenware Products)
Our client is well-known European brand in kitchenware products. To cope with their business expansion, they are now inviting high caliber to join their team.
Job Description
You will be responsible for building up a
sourcing network and structure in China in conjunction with our current teams.
You will be based in our sourcing office in Hong Kong with extensive traveling
to China.
The key focus areas for the position are
the following:
Sourcing
- Source for new suppliers and lead sourcing projects in China
- Preparing and conducting negotiations in corporation with head office and factories
- Ensure company at all times have contingency plans and back up suppliers in key areas
- Conduct supplier visits and make factory assessments and reviews with CSR team
- Develop partnerships with key suppliers; maintain cost competitiveness by active negotiation
- Gathering and analyzing developments in the market place, from a sourcing perspective
- Cooperate with product development team in HK and headoffice is required

Desired Skills & Experience
- Degree or above in Engineering manufacturing/ Mechanical Engineering /Electronic Engineering or related disciplines
- Extensive knowledge in manufacturing processes for electrical items: Kettle/ Coffee machine/ Electrical grill/ Blender; Knowledge in Charcoal and Gas BBQ’s in a plus
- 8 years’ solid experience in sourcing and purchasing electrical kitchenware appliances/ kitchenware table top companies
- Experience with kitchen products such as glassware, porcelain, cookware etc is an advantage
- Knowledge of GS, ETL/cETL , SAA safety approval is a must and knowledge of agencies is a plus
- Candidates with current sourcing factory base is a plus
- Good communication skills, and proficient in English, Chinese and Mandarin
- Precise attention to detail, follow-up and sense of urgency skills.
- Very structured and organized personality.
- Ability to multi-task, work independent & manage deadlines simultaneously.
- Relevant experience in project co-ordination with internal departments
- Good negotiation and communication skills and tactful in global and local suppliers management
- Sensitive to market price and trend
- Ability to perform the vendor surveys independently and selects the capable sources for the sourcing program
- Extensive traveling to China is required

- 5 days work
- 15 days annual leave
